FAQs

Our stories are designed specifically to help you guide your children over life's bumps. The personalisation places the child in the context of their experiences, and our activities help them sequence and process events, and to recognise, name and validate their emotional response to these experiences.

Weaver birds are social and creative birds. The nests they build are complex, crafted over time and with care, to provide a secure location for their chicks to grow. Like the one Tippy lives and builds our stories and activities in.
Weaver birds live together in colonies, sharing resources, supporting each other to create a safe environment for all.
The aim of your Weaverbirds story is not to take the place of therapy or provide an all-
encompassing solution to processing an emotional topic, but to certainly provide a clear,
straight-forward starting point.

If you are unsure, or concerned about your child please seek professional help. Often
schools, family friends, or GPs are able to recommend a Child Psychologist in your local
area, otherwise you can contact a relevant professional body such as the Australian
Psychological Society.

When to access more help?
- If you are concerned about the safety of your child.
- If your child’s response seems out of proportion to the situation, or if their struggles
seem to be continuing for a long time without improvement.
- Other signs it may be time to seek professional help include symptoms of anxiety or
depression

Just as your child may be suffering, you may be suffering too. If you are finding it
difficult to cope with the daily demands of life, it is important that you seek help so
you can be the best possible resource for your child.
